Course Description

Industrial Hygiene Basics is an essential course to take if you are concerned about the safety, health and general wellbeing of your co-workers, and the hazards that could affect them.

This one-day course introduces industrial hygiene terminology and principles, as well as practical approaches for recognizing, evaluating and controlling common workplace hazards such as, chemicals, noise, radiation, thermal stress, and biological and ergonomic stressors. We’ll discuss basic anatomy and physiology, toxicology, hazard control, and the recognition and evaluation of chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards.

Who Should Attend?

Material and CEUs

A Participant Guide containing reference materials, safety inspection forms and checklists is provided for each attendee. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a course certificate and will earn .65 CEUs from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.
