This course covers the requirements on how to administer a proper Fit Test to employees who use respirators as part of their work. We will also discuss the basics of establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respiratory protection program as well as terminology, OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards, NIOSH classifications and medical evaluation requirements. The program will highlight donning and doffing a tight fitting respirator, seal check and adjustments, proper procedure step by step, Trouble shooting and the most common mistakes, omissions and scenarios.
Upon course completion students will have the ability to identify the proper selection, use, and inspection of respiratory protection. Each student will also receive a certificate of completion and a Respiratory Fit Test Kit.
A Participant Guide containing reference materials, safety inspection forms, and checklists is provided for each attendee. Participants will receive a course completion certificate upon successfully completing the course and will earn .3 CEUs from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.
