Course Description

The Respirable Crystalline Silica with Fit Testing Train the Trainer course is designed to equip safety professionals, managers, and compliance officers with the expertise to address the risks of respirable crystalline silica while ensuring proper respirator fit testing in the workplace. With OSHA standards becoming increasingly stringent, this course provides the knowledge and practical tools necessary to create safer work environments and maintain regulatory compliance.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in conducting respirator fit tests using the Fit Test Kit provided as part of the course, along with a deeper understanding of silica hazards, exposure control methods, and the skills to confidently train others in their organization. This course combines comprehensive theoretical instruction with practical applications, ensuring participants leave fully prepared to implement and train on silica safety and fit testing protocols.

Material and CEU's

A Participant Guide containing reference materials, safety inspection forms, and checklists will be provided to each attendee. This guide serves as a valuable resource for implementing silica safety practices and conducting respirator fit testing in the workplace.

Participants will also receive a Fit Test Kit, including all necessary tools (solution, hood, nebulizer, and instructions) to perform qualitative fit tests during and after the course.

Upon successfully completing the course, attendees will earn a course completion certificate and receive 0.5 CEUs from the Florida Chamber Safety Council.
