Course Description

The Safety for Supervisors course trains supervisors and managers from all industries to incorporate the best safety practices into their daily management activities. Participants will learn how to conduct successful Job Safety Analyses, Safety Inspections within their facilities, jobsites, and equipment, Incident Investigations, Risk and Hazard Assessments, and Safety Meetings for their employees.

Additional topics covered include Mental Health, Employee Involvement, Communication, Equipment Operations, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), among others.

Goals and Key Objectives:
Through this course, we will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to:

• Conduct Job Safety Analyses, Safety Inspections, Incident Investigations, Risk and Hazard Assessments, and Safety Meetings.
• Identify, control, and eliminate health and safety hazards.
• Address Mental Health in the workplace.
• Prevent workplace incidents.
• Implement a positive and effective safety culture.
• Analyze safety and health issues from a management perspective.

Material and CEU's

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn 0.6 CEUs from the Florida Water & Pollution Control Operators Association, Incorporated (FW&PCOA) and the Florida Chamber Safety Council. These CEUs contribute to professional development and may satisfy industry certification or licensing requirements.
