This training class covers the OSHA 1910.146 and 1926 Subpart AA Confined Space standards. Participants will receive the knowledge and understanding of the different types of Confined Spaces that they may encounter in their workplace.
Topics covered include but are not limited to:
The goal of confined space safety training is to educate all workers on best practices for working in confined spaces, understanding the dangers of working in confined spaces so that they are able to reduce any potential of injuries and/or fatalities.
The training class shall consist of a combination of lectures, video segments, facilitated student discussions, demonstrations, and written examinations.
The Permit-Required Confined Space Entry course is designed for those individuals who will or are currently fulfilling roles where entry into confined spaces is required in either a Construction (OSHA 1926) or General Industry (OSHA 1910) environment. This course will also provide excellent benefits to any individual who currently supervises employees conducting entries into permit-required confined spaces.
Participants will receive a course completion certificate and earn .8 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Chamber Safety Council. If applicable, participants will receive .8 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DS/DW/WW02099003) upon successful completion of the course.
