This course will assist students in identifying fall hazards and utilizing best practices in the elimination of predictable and identifiable slip, trip, and fall hazards. Throughout the course, students will be given written tests and practical application activities to ensure they fully understand and are able to demonstrate the skills taught. This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to assess and control fall hazards, properly use, inspect and maintain fall protection equipment.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
The Fall Protection course is designed for those individuals who work in or around conditions where they are exposed or potentially exposed to Fall Hazards within their workplace. This includes, but is not limited to, operators of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms and Powered Industrial Trucks, working in or around Trenches & Excavations as well as Confined Spaces, working on scaffolds, ladders, platforms and roofs. This course will also provide excellent benefits to any individual who currently supervises employees working at heights.
Participants will receive a course completion certificate and earn .8 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Chamber Safety Council. If applicable, participants will receive .8 Continuing Education Units from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DS/DW/WW 02099006) upon successful completion of the course.
